Unexpected Flowers

Each year my garden seems to produce something unexpected - no, not the gigantic weeds, I always expect them! No, something that I haven't planted but that looks very nice. Last year it was a Hyacinth and this year it's a Daffodil. I guess it's because I do a bit of a clear-up and presumably end up digging in little bulbs that had been sitting on the top of the soil.

I love this photo (below). I was just snapping away and happened to catch a nice shot - quite by chance - most of my photo's are rubbish! Spring must have sprung as the Daisies and the Dandelions are appearing everywhere. Lovely to get a 'special' flower from Nipper.

The most unexpected flowers of all were the ones I got for Mother's Day.

Mr Earplugs doesn't usually do flowers so they were a nice surprise. Having said that, he unceremoniously handed me 3 bunches of Roses and a bunch of Freesias and said "I got you some flowers but I don't know what to do with them". Bless him!

I've found a Daffodil in my garden this week....strange isn't it? I've also got loads of Primroses that I've never planted :)

  9. What a sweetheart.

I don't get surprises - I know that every year the same bulb that I have been trying to eradicate will pop up just to taunt me. How many more bulb can be hidden in that small area of soil???
