Kitchen Poetry

Toni at Simple Sparrow is having a 'kitchen poetry' week. The idea being that whatever's happening in your kitchen, be it poetry or chaos, just blog it. I'm signing up for the chaos as there's not much poetry in my kitchen!

This is the story of my life at the moment:

Peppermint Tea!

The cup and saucer is a lovely dainty little set, far too dainty for me, which I found in a flea market in Paris about 10 years ago. The handle is so tiny that you have to hold it with your fingertips. It's 'Porcelaine de Sologne' which has been around for over 100 years and is made in the Lomoges tradition (according to the good old www).

  2. Wow, thanks for posting this. What a lovely idea from the host blog. Your house seems very well ordered to me, though I imagine it is hard to do much at the moment.

  3. Ah! Lovely cup and saucer but i fear they would be to dainty for me! I need cups/mugs that are shrek proof for me and my hamfisted family. Oh i must make my mother so proud!

  4. Ah, good old peppermint tea. How are you feeling, very sick? It won't be long and the icky stage will have passed, until then, you can at least drink it out of gorgeous tea cups!

  5. I'm excited that you joined in. Tea does bring a lot of poetry. My favourite right now is lemon.

  6. I couldnt write a poem about my kitchen at the moment, because I cant think of any words that rhyme with 'untidy' and 'horrendous' (well except stupendous)!! Maybe poetry isnt my forte, I think I should stick to my day job. However I do tea very well. It always tastes so much better in a beautiful china cup. X
