Honestly, you'd think I invented growing vegetables by the amount of excitement that happens every time I harvest something! (Those are my strawberries too!)
It's a great feeling isn't it?? I love growing my own :) Your carrots are much better then mine, I grew them a few years ago & they were tiny!!! Glad you had a good holiday, Woolacombe is beautiful. I haven't been there for years but we used to go when I was a child. Yes the roads are terrible at this time of the year...holiday makers!!!! :) x
I would be so excited too! The new house we are hoping to move to (buying permitting, keep fingers crossed!), has a greenhouse which I got all excited about until the DH pointed out that a greenhouse and 3 and 6 year old boy, footballs etc probably wasnt a good mix, especially as one is ADHD and has no sense of danger or thought about things like running around and climbing, so my dreams of being the next budding veggy grower might have to be downscaled to a raised bed or 2!

They look yum! Congrats (and I know what you mean!)
ReplyDeleteIt's fine to get excited, I tried carrots last year in a big pot, all I got was a lot of green tops. So well done you.
ReplyDeleteI am the same! Thank you for your kindness and understanding over on my blog, I truly do appreciate it. Susie xxx
